Reviews for Waterfront Warehouse Restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia
An interesting place to have dinner your down on the harbour front which is a big bonus, and a nice walk along the broad walk parking is possible next to the restaurant. Staff polite and friendly knowledgable we were looking for a local wine and went with phone box white from ... Luckett Vineyards wine was great went extremely well with the fish we started with the scallop ceviche and went with fish and chips was certainley very good wasn't heavy and the tartare sauce was perfect nice zesty sauce which went very well the fish they used was meaty in beer batter. All in all a great experience everything was really good thoroughly enjoyed. Read more
The waterfront warehouse is a fantastic seafood restaurant. We were there during a rainy day so we sat inside and got to see all of the cool artifacts. The lobster poutine was a bit greedy on the lobster and on the sauce, but they did split it into two bowls as ... per our request. Despite the lack of lobster it was still delicious. The seared scallops was a fantastic dish in terms of the scallops (don’t expect more than 5-6). The vegetables were a bit of a miss - it seems they were all cooked together because the Brussels sprouts were undercooked while the carrots and cauliflower were overcooked. No complaints in terms of flavour. Read more

As you might guess from the name, this restaurant is located on the waterfront, in a huge warehouse. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed, service good (although when I was there the place was nearly empty), and the food was tasty. The main reason I went here was to try freshly ... shucked scallops on the shell (raw). I’ve enjoyed raw scallops before as sashimi and sushi, but not quite like this. Unfortunately, they were disappointing - firm rather than soft and silky, and relatively tasteless. Nonetheless, I was not disappointed by the oysters or the lobster, both of which were great. The potato salad that came with the lobster was bland, but the coleslaw was good. Overall this was a good experience, and I’d go back, but there are other places to try in Halifax first. Read more
We had intended to sit on Waterfront Warehouse’s patio when we went, but it was too cold, so we sat inside. And it was such a neat space. Lots of nautical decor - warm and inviting. My husband wanted something light, so he had the summer salad (which was a ... huge bowl of beautiful veggies with a delicate apricot dressing) and an appetizer portion of rare tuna that was so good he was swooning over it. I don’t like seafood, so I ordered the beef short ribs, which came with a large side of several types of roasted veggies. SOOOO GOOOD! The beef was so tender that I could cut it with my fork, and the gravy was delicious on the tender vegetables. The second night we went, I had the beef steak salad, which was a flavorful skirt steak on a bed of quinoa and radicchio and onions. My husband had the same summer salad and an appetizer portion of bacon-wrapped scallops. We were both very happy though my favorite is still that beef short rib - YUM! Oh, and hubby then also had the coconut cheesecake, which I tasted - and it was very yummy too. Service was great - Olivia was our server the first night and she was wonderful (can’t recall the name of the server the second night but she was lovely too). Read more
