Cafe Greek Garden - Guelph, Ontario

Many years ago when I visited Guelph, I would get the Greek Salad from here which is absolutely delicious. My daughter and I were in the area this weekend and fought the construction and detours to reach the restaurant...which was totally worth it. I've been having my birthday there for over 20 years. I didn't even miss it during the pandemic, I did take-out for the first time. It's not a birthday without a huge pile of delicious food from Greek Gardens that'll last me for a week. Best part? The free baklava ... for the birthday girl if I dine in. as a Greek person who has been to many Greek restaurants, this is the best Greek food I've ever had in my life other than my grandma's homemade food and the food in Greece itself. this is as authentic as it gets without travelling to Greece. prices are very reasonable, ... service was great. easily 10/10, everything was perfect. my only complaint was that the stall door in the men's washroom would not fully close no matter how hard I tried. that definitely needs to be fixed ASAP. but other than that minor issue, everything was perfect from the service to the atmosphere to the prices, and of course the food. Went with my sister for a night out at cafe Greek yesterday May 8th. We ordered cocktail cosmo to begin our sister’s night out and when we were handed our drinks one of them had a fly in it. Really disgusted when i see that floating in my drink we ... called the server and told her that, she literally just got us another drink and didn’t notice the fly? Very casually she apologized and got another drink and moved on. From the conversation didn’t feel like it happened to them the first time the attitude towards service was very casual. I understand stuff like this happens but the restaurant was not even busy hardly 2-3 tables occupied and the server being so casual. Instead at the end she even charged us for the cocktail which is strange normally restaurants don’t because that error is BIG. We were okay to pay because that is what we were there for to enjoy food, pay and leave but we thought an apology or some concern regarding service i guess is what we deserved. Very lovely Greek restaurant with fantastic costumer service and delicious food! My mom, sister and myself had dinner tonight and were super happy our meals. Everything tasted delicious and fresh and very well priced! Check them out :)
