3.5 stars - Solid place for some good BBQ in Guelph. Came here with my sister and dad on a Friday night at around 8 PM. I would come here again if I was in the area and in the mood for some meat. It was really empty, but it ... seemed to fill up as the night dragged on. The menu is small and filled with classic BBQ dishes, so you definitely know it's their speciality. We weren't super hungry, so we opted for the platter ($18) which included 2 meats, cornbread, and a large side. We chose the pulled pork, brisket, and macaroni. We also ordered some coleslaw to cut through the grease. Everything was good, but the stand out for me was the pulled pork. It was really really tasty! I loved the sauce and the tenderness was perfect. The brisket was decent, but not one of the best I've had before. The sides were meh for me. I think the Mac and cheese tasted good with the brisket, but otherwise, it was on the blander side. If I wanted this again, it would be with the pulled pork on top. The corn bread was also kind of dry and didn't taste very fresh. Kind of a disappointment since corn bread is usually one of my favourite treats when I get bbq. The cole slaw was, again, only okay. Overall, you get what you pay for here - which is pretty decent. Pulled pork is definitely the way to go if you come and visit! Read more
