Montana’s - Guelph, Ontario

Hostess was welcoming and accommodating and engaged in conversation. The server however was blunt and rushed our order , we waited 30mins to have her come back and ask us for a refill on drinks. We were seated at 4:30 and it was 4:55 by time she came back only ... to make it very clear “here is your second drink and happy hour is done !”. Disappointed not our typical experience at this establishment. After a prompt response to my review by Montana’s Management I am updating the review. As a business owner myself I am fully aware that we are only as good as our employees who represent us. And no-one is prefect , its how an issue gets resolved ! It used to be a terrific place. However the last two times I have gone there have been issues. Today our starters arrived 5 minutes before our drinks. The last two times the steaks have been thoroughly under cooked. I understand missing by a bit, but when you order ... med-well and receive blue-rare it is an issue. (Please review the picture to see how far off it was. Med well is a little pink in the middle) Of course the steak was sent back to be cooked this time. By the time it was returned, everyone at the table had finished eating. I had to take it to go. I probably should have just told them to forget about it, since paying full price to not eat a meal with the family is ridiculous........ Please note I always give the benefit of the doubt to restaurants because I know how difficult it can be, but this place has hit an iceberg and is sinking fast......... Read more

Barb was amazing! So nice to have a smiley server who loves her job! I try and eat vegetarian and she went out of her way to make my smokehouse wrap veggie for me! So so appreciative!

Balled out at ‘tanas cus we had a giftcard. Good meal for a chain. Our server Barb was very friendly and everything came out quick despite it being busy. It was filled with university students as they accept meal plans so if you don’t want to be around f boys ... I’d go to the one in cambridge. If you go to Montanas and don’t get the antojitos you are missing out! They are the best thing on the menu. That and the skillet cookie were the best thing we ordered. I ordered the steak and loaded potato, steak was incredibly mid but thats a chain restaurant for you, loaded potato was good. My man got the fried chicken sandwich and poutine and enjoyed both. Had a great time at Montana's! The waitress was super friendly and quick, making the whole dining experience awesome. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to for more good times and good food.
