Amazing customer service and great food! Without realizing it my friend and I showed up 10 minutes to close. Upon realizing they were closing we told them not to worry about it we would come back the next day instead, but they insisted we stay. They didn't have much left ... as it was the end of the day but they whipped up some amazing pasta with beef. They were incredibly hospitable the whole time and did not rush us to leave. They made us feel like family it was an incredible experience you're not likely to receive in a typical restaurant. The food was amazing, but the service alone is enough for me to recommend! Love love love it, drove all the way from Dawson Creek to enjoy the African cuisine here ❤❤ the meat was cooked exactly how meat is cooked in most African countries, well done and tasty. It's very true that Africans don't eat half cooked meat or medium rare which is ... ok, every culture is different. Felt like been home again!!!!. The taste and everything is perfect. The food was pretty delicious. But the environment was not as comforting. The place was quite old, and looked a little dirty. Looks like it needs renovations. The lady was super nice!

Absolutely disgusting! It was not good selection, poor service and I'm pretty sure it's also a soup kitchen. If I'm gonna pay $30 a dish, I don't really care for the downtown crackheads and drunks bothering me while eating. I would never go back nor would I ever recommend. Sorry.

Not having a lot of knowledge of African cuisine, I can only say that the food had good flavour. I'd guess that being up in GP, some ingredients are hard to come by and the dishes can't possibly be that authentic. As a case in point, part of the sauce ... in my goat dish wasn't well-mixed, so I could taste plain old BBQ sauce. The meats were overdone for North American standards, but were nicely seasoned. The portions were generous. I was confused at the end of dinner as to how my bill came to be...no receipt to break it down...just a verbal confirmation of the final total. I don't think the total was right. As for the service... horrendously slow. Maybe I'll do takeout next time. Read more
