Fantastic Bakery with food truck on site. There are so many great baked products inside and gluten free options. The food truck is amazing and they take care of your needs. It’s worth the trip with plenty of parking and amenities in the property. There are open spaces where you ... can sit in shade or catch the sun. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A lovely little find just outside of Cobourg. Enjoyed a great coffee, veggie quiche (albeit over salted) and salad while sitting at their outdoor patio. Used their restroom which needed a clean and service friendly but slow especially as I was the only customer. Ste. Anne’s Bakery in Grafton, Ontario near Cobourg, Ontario, Canada serving vegan ice cream and milk shakes including gluten-free breads, teas, desserts, sandwiches, tacos, pizzas and more. It’s my top stop on the 401 when driving East from Toronto. I called two days ahead to order 8 loaves of ... gluten-free bread - cinnamon, cheese and 5 grain. It’s one of the best gluten free and (some) vegan breads I’ve found so I always stock up due to the distance to get it. I also stock up on teas and chose 3 gluten-free decaffeinated teas. We started with a gluten-free scone that was heated adding butter and black truffle honey. Wow - fabulous. Then on to the standby vegan and gluten-free chocolate milkshake, what I like to call the best milkshake in the world served with a thick straw - as it should be 🙂. The shake was smooth, flavourful, thick and delicious. Couldn’t not order the brisket and mushroom tacos. Perfection. Flavours to die for. Looks like the are building a separate outside, hopefully covered, seating area. Otherwise there is the inside eating area, outdoor patio with umbrellas and picnic benches under the trees just down the hill beside the bakery. The attendant was cheery and helpful but we would have benefited from him checking if we wanted gluten-free or wheat wraps for our tacos on ordering as we had to switch with the chefs at the truck. We left happy as cats in a warm sunny window. Heads up that the food truck food is not all gluten-free and yet you order inside and must eat food truck food outside not inside. This is a little confusing but is due to “certification rules” - perhaps gluten free? Suggestions would be have the attendant check preferences on gluten-free food truck items on ordering, go all gluten free outside too just to simplify things and offer white and/or pesto based pizzas for those with night-shade sensitivities. Love, love, the food!! Everything in the bakery is gluten-free, and everything in the food truck is customized to be gluten-free as well. The desserts were so good—they tasted rich in flavor and melted perfectly in my mouth. It’s a true gem.

We ordered a herb scone, a soup of the day and a chicken panini. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. Super creamy and flavourful. The scone however was a disappointment. It was floury and flavourless. When they heated it up for us, it turned into mush. The panini was ridiculously ... expensive for what it was. The bread used for the panini was considerably smaller than what they used for dipping in the soup. Small portions of chicken and soppy, flavourless peppers. On top of this, we went to take some deserts to go but despite us trying to get their attention and yelling, staff did not come out from the back to serve us. Really disappointed in this experience.
