A very welcoming restaurant and staff! Our waitress was always available and quick to help us. The owner of the restaurant came to show us how to use the raclette machine. It was my birthday not so long ago and I was craving raclette.... which brought us to Meule et Caquelon. Reservations are highly recommended especially for their special nights (check their menu for weekly specials). The restaurant is pretty big and can accommodate for groups. It has the swiss Alps ... mark all over it, featuring wood and "traditional" costumes for the staff. Each table comes with its own exhaust fan, which is not a luxury considering you fundamentally cook/grill everything at your table. Food was fresh and portions were good, from the meats to the vegetables, bread, sauces and cheeses of course. We had a great time and our waiter was super friendly. Delightful restaurant decor and very kind service, but the food takes a very long time to come. I waited 1.5 hours for a fondue for one person. They also forgot that I ordered some extras from the menu, which I wasn’t going to question after waiting so long for any ... food to arrive. The fondue was ok, but fairly average. A nice place to visit for the experience, but make sure you allow a lot of time, bring your patience, and enjoy the experience and kind staff, rather than expecting gourmet dining. Read more
