Portugalos Restaurant - Gatineau, Quebec

A genuinely fun family restaurant with great seafood and friendly service. My whole group thoroughly enjoyed all they ate. Lots of squid, octopus and seafood platters went around.

Came here on a Friday evening and we were seated right away. The food was great and servers are friendly and nice. My beef stew was a little chewy/tough but the sauce and flavours were amazing. Would come back again to try other dishes!

My wife and I had an enjoyable lunch here. Good service with the waiter Thierry. Tasty food and nicely presented. Quite delicious actually. Overall we felt a bit like we were out having a lunch in Europe. The Portuguese tart was incomparable. Service was slightly slow but worth it. This ... is pretty much fine dining. The mussels were on the cold side and the cooked vegetables were only very lightly seasoned in a butter sauce. Chicken, fish, potatoes and fresh salad were delicious. Portugalos is fantastic and very authentic. Honestly, it’s better than many restaurants in Portugal. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. I had the meat variety dish and it was fantastic. The Portugalo coffee is so tasty. Like any good Portuguese restaurant, they have have olives for the table, but ... you do have to ask. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. The washrooms are well maintained and clean. Very upscale and very affordable. I will definitely be coming back. Read more

Wow! Fresh and delicious authentic Portuguese meals! We had the seafood “ship” for couples and I highly recommend it! They have hard working and amazing staff, and the owner is also very welcoming! We were in town for a show, but will return for sure! ❤️
