José’s Pizza - Gatineau, Quebec

I am dumbfounded that I never knew of this place before a friend recommended it. We ordered the José special (putting bacon and olives on an all-dressed is simple and genius) and the bacon and pepperoni for 4 adults and two kids. The pizzas were hot, the delivery was right ... on time, calling in was a breeze, wonderful customer service. The pizzas were laden with toppings, the crust was thick but not dense, the pizza sauce was the perfect amount, not seeping through, not tangy nor over-spiced. The dough absorbed the sauce without saturating the base. We have two slices left of each and I am looking forward to eating the rest tomorrow. I am done searching for a pizza place, this is it. I haven’t had a pizza this good since moving here years ago. The place is so unassuming, no online ordering, free delivery and prices that are competitive with the advantage of good quality ingredients. First time ordering a pizza from here. Jose was recommended to me by several friends and I can see why. I called to order. When answering the owner JP said had just closed up. Se said no problem he said he would fire back up the oven and make my pizza. I ... came down got the pizza. Had a great chat with this gentlemen. He's s great guy old school type service that we don't see often. Now back to the pizza. I ordered the deluxe pizza and it was amazing. Thick and lots of toppings. Definitely hands down the best pizza in Gatineau. I will be back. Everyone has to try this pizza. So if you're looking for a pizzeria this is the place to go. I highly recommend this place. First time for me. Really good and tasty ingredients, ready on time. I was served with a smile by the owner and I am stuffing myself as I write this review.

Local pizza restaurant mostly for pick up. I went there for the first time without any expectations and the owner was super friendly. We chatted a bit, picked up the pizza and came home. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. You will know when you pick up the pizza in your hands how much ingredient has gone into this. When you open the box you will instantly see how much love and care was put into making the pizza.
