Disappointing Experience at Sesame I recently visited Sesame after they reopened, hoping for the same delicious experience I've enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, this was not the case. My wife and I thought this restaurant had an attractive ambience - any kind of event could be suitably held here, reasonable prices, great service (thank you Gabriel) and some great dishes. The General Tao chicken was excellent and the key lime pie and black sesame and green tea ice ... cream were 10/5! The restaurant has a good menu and the food is presented well. We’ll be back. Excellent dining experience. The staff was courteous and always present at the right time. We were a large group but no one waited to be served water or drinks. The food was good as expected. Great atmosphere. We will dine here again.

Just ordered some Bao using Uber Eats and they were extremely underwhelming. The restaurant took such a long time to prepare the order that when I received it the Bao were cold and the side salad was wilting and soggy. I had requested some fries as a side for one ... of the orders and received another wilting /soggy salad instead. • That being said, I preferred the chicken General Tao over the duck. The Bao was more substantive, the sauce was flavorful and the crispy chicken brought a nice contrast against the Bao bun. The duck Bao fell flat. Not much meat, soggy and very subtle taste. • For the price of the meal and the “ok- meh” taste/quality of the dishes, I would not reorder Bao from this place. I was really hoping for some tasty Bao on the Gatineau side but I will definitely revert back to my preferred options on the Ottawa side, which is very unfortunate. Read more

Went for lunch at 2:30 with my girlfriend. The service was very prompt and friendly, it also wasn't peak hours so we did get more attention and quicker service. The atmosphere was very calming and had a good layout. I ordered the wonton soup as well as the General Tao Chicken. The ... soup was amazing and I did get quite full with just that. The genera Tao chicken was okay. The chicken was dry & chewy with not a lot of flavor. I did ask for more sauce which helped. I would come back here in the future to try another dish.
