New York Fries - Fredericton, New Brunswick

Being gluten-free due to a wheat allergy, I must say they have the best tasting GF gravy on their poutine, better than the poutine places here in F'ton. I have never been served a bad poutine here - the fresh cut fries have never been soggy, and always ample gravy ... and a good scoop of cheese. I personally think the fries taste amazing, especially when they are a tad crispy! There is enough variety when choosing on the toppings and sauces; but, at the same time, the limited menu helps in making a quick decision. You are, essentially, given the freedom to build your own ... poutine and you can add and omit as you please. In addition to that, a discount is offered to any mall employee, which applies to poutines and fries. New York fries is, without a doubt, the fastest restaurant in the food court. It's ideal if you work at the mall and only get a short break, or if you find yourself hastily trying to eat some lunch and the majority simply can't control their cravings for some of the best fries around town. What fast food place asks for a tip? And I'm 75% certain they water down their gravy. It's not as thick, lighter in colour and has less flavour compared to other NYF I've been to.

I was in Fredericton on Thursday for a meeting and stopped by the mall to pick some things up. On my way out, I grabbed a fry from NYF with sour cream, tomatoes, and questionable cheese topping. It tasted good until that evening before bed I started to get a ... headache. The next morning my headache was so bad I couldn't get out of bed, I puked and was so sick I was in bed for a solid 60 hours,, I tried to call that location to see if others have experienced the same, but the phone was disconnected,, surprise surprise,, I think I may call a Health inspector tomorrow to have that location inspected... I've worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years and cross contamination is irresponsible and poor management with lack of training in my professional opinion.
