An absolutely lovely restaurant with a fantastic meal special. The food is good and overall there is great value for the price. Both of the sandwich, soup and dessert are phenomenal. Coffee is hot and hits the spot. The antique and well interior makes for a lovely experience in the country, perfect ... for a weekend morning out of the city. While staying recently in the area for a few weeks this spring, we did some backroads exploring to get off the main roads and enjoy the scenery. I came across this café via Google and, given the great reviews, decided to give it a try for breakfast. Sure glad we ... did! The historic building itself is worth a look with its spotless and charming interior…. tin ceilings and lots of oak. Our server was warm and welcoming but the real star was the food…. hot, fresh, plentiful and cooked exactly to order. And probably about half the price of other places in the city! Delicous lunch today of pulled pork on a bun, Caesar salad and the best pecan pie for dessert at Bonnie Lou's Cafe in Floradale. Wonderful staff. Shout to my wonderful server, Vera. We came to visit St. Jacob Farmer's Market and took a Tractor tour. The tour leader recommended this fantastic family-owned restaurant to us. Run by Mennonites, the restaurant serves delicious food. We ordered from the dinner menu, where we could choose between garlic chicken or roasted beef with mashed potatoes, ... coleslaw salad, and a dessert of our choice. I picked the roasted beef, which reminded me of a traditional Christmas meal. I also tried their homemade iced tea, which was delightful. Definitely recommended! Read more

The food was pretty good. It is next to the Woolwich reservoir and dam trail. The location is convenient. Service was friendly. Make a reservation on weekends...after we arrived, a few reserved signs went up and it became busy. Our only complaint is that the ... chili and quiche were a bit sweet.
