Pickle Barrel - Etobicoke, Ontario

We had a great lunch outing at Pickle Barrel, Sherway Gardens. Our server was prompt and friendly. Food was prepared fresh and tasted great. SUER big portions ! Excellent value for money. Will most definitely return again.

Went there for dinner tonight, was looking for a quick bite while at the mall and happened to stumble upon this place, always heard about it always pass by it never actually tried it until today. Our waitress Bruna was pleasant, we never at any point felt hounded or rushed ... by her and she got our orders in a timely manner as well as gave my daughter a free cookie which I thought was very sweet and thoughtful! The food was good and plentiful, I was reading some of the reviews and people were saying the portions were to small and not worth it and I didn’t see that, I ordered a chocolate milkshake and couldn’t finish it and the Caesar salad and my paella rice were pretty generous sizes as was my wife’s chilli dog and fries which she wasn’t able to finish as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here and will definitely return in the future to try the other items in the menu. Read more

Attempted to come here for dinner on a Sunday night. No one was available to seat us. The lady in their to-go section saw us but didn't bother to call someone to help us. A bus boy walked by as well and same thing, he just ignored us. Either they ... are extremely understaffed or they are going out of business. They weren't busy so I am not really sure how to excuse this experience. We waited for 10 minutes and decided to go to Milestones instead. I guess it makes sense why they have a low rating. If I was you I wouldn't waste your time here. UPDATE: Pickle barrel reached out to us and invited my husband and I for dinner. We went during a Thursday night and there was a hostess waiting for us. The manager came by too to greet us and was really friendly. The food was great. I had the Maple Nut Salmon and it was delicious. We also had their Thursday special, bud light 14oz for $5.50, good deal. I guess the waitress knew we were invited for a free meal and she was not friendly at all. She didn't introduce herself and the first thing she said to us was 'what are you having?'. But overall it was nice that they reached out to us and the food was great so I have decided to changed my rating. Read more

The highlight of the experience was our server, Rebecca, who was one of the most bubbly, friendly servers I had ever met. Even though some of the food was sub-par (mac and cheese poppers were cold in the middle, beef in my "hot" sandwich was lukewarm), she made this experience a ... great one overall. Rebecca was extremely attentive and paid attention to even the smallest details, like proactively bringing mayo just in case, refilling waters regularly (and even remembering that one of us didn't like lemon in it), and just being present but not overbearing the entire time. As other reviewers have mentioned, cold food seems to be a recurring issue here. Management needs to pull their socks up and fix this. Read more

The service was horrible I was so disappointed with the food. My fried chicken and waffles came with barely any maple syrup had to request more. The chicken was non existent it was all batter. The bacon on our BBBLT was really undercooked. They were nice enough to comp for ... this meal. Wrong drinks were served to our table making it s longer wait. Over all horrible.
