The Keg (in particular the West End) is our go to for a good, reliable steak dinner. We’re always served by someone that takes pride in their work, they make it seem easy that they care about your evening. The star player is always the meat, I usually always go for the ... Went to this The Keg location for my birthday, we were served by Holly. Let me tell you, she is awesome! Such a fun, upbeat, casual but professional server, we had a great experience with her! She really made us feel welcomed and comfortable! When we made our reservation, we requested ... to sit in a quieter area, and they did not disappoint! We were pretty much sat as far away from the music as possible which I am extremely grateful for as I am unable to tolerate loud spaces well so restaurants are always a struggle but our table at The Keg was great! We ordered the white sangria which was as good as always. If you're looking for a sangria that isn't overpoweringly sweet, you'll love The Keg sangrias, they use carbonated water instead of 7UP/Sprite so it's very refreshing. I tend to avoid sangrias at other restaurants and bars because I find them sickly sweet but The Keg's are perfect. The mac'n'cheese was good, needed a bit of salt and pepper, which is just personal taste, but I loved that you could taste the cheese in it! Breadcrumbs on top were nice and crispy. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone, BUT a little chewey at the same time. They were rather light on the brushed-on sauce compared to other restaurant ribs, and the sauce that came on the side wasn't quite the same as a traditional restaurant rib sauce. They were good however so this is just up to personal taste. Fries were good, fresh and hot! Came with a cheesy biscuit but we were too full to taste it. Bacon-wrapped blue cheese filet mignon was perfection! Bacon was crispy, steak was cooked to perfection, and they were VERY generous with the amount of blue cheese! If you're a bluecheese lover like I am, you will be happy! Only advice I would give if you are not familiar with different cuts of steak, filet mignon has a very mild taste that is easily overpowered, and blue cheese is very strong, so if you'd like to savour the taste of the meat, I recommend being frugal in your blue cheese usage. You'll have excess blue cheese at the end but you won't feel like you've wasted an expensive piece of meat on blue cheese. The vegetables that came with my steak were perfect! Absolutely delicious and refreshing, I think I got my veggie fix for now with the huge selection of vegetables on my plate! They gave us a complimentary dessert for my birthday, which was the Billy Miner pie, an icecream cake. It was delicious! Served with chocolate and caramel sauce, a chocolate wafer crumb crust (tasted like the wafers of an icecream sandwich), and toasted sliced almonds. We had never had this dessert before and were very surprised at the light coffee taste in the icecream and its airy texture! I love coffee but my partner doesn't, but he really enjoyed this one as the taste was very mild! Overall, we loved our dinner and would come back! Another great The Keg location! Read more

The Keg is a location we like to go to for a romantic date night. We chose the lounge side to not hear little kiddies having tantrums, but discovered the restaurant allows for kids on the lounge side. This was very disappointing as it was not a great atmosphere to ... enjoy an evening with my husband. Also, the caesar salad was slightly soggy, drenched in dressing. Finally my steak appeared to have been under the warmer for an extended period of time as it did not appear juicy and looked dull when it was placed in front of me. Overall not a great evening. Surprisingly we don't come here for the steak although the steaks here are very good. We come for the seafood. Lobster tail dinner and bacon wrapped scallops. My go to here. Better then Red Lobster by far. I always order it with the extra tail.

The Keg, no matter where you go, is always a reliable go-to for a great steak and a very generous dining experience. From start to finish, their food is very good. Our server on this night was amazing! She was so positive and helpful with our dinner. She also brought ... out a massive cake for us free of charge. The space is getting a little dated.
