Visited this restaurant post-Oilers Game 7, and the experience was a mixed bag. The food was decent—not exceptional but not disappointing either. What really stood out was the atmosphere; I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and aesthetic of the place. However, the service did not match the setting. Our server forgot ... my order of a pint and, even after a reminder, it took an extra 25 minutes. She offered to get it herself from the bar if it wasn’t ready soon, which was a nice touch, but it highlighted how slow everything was. Given that it was a busy Monday evening following a major game, some delay was expected, but it seemed like the restaurant was not prepared for the obvious increase in patrons. Better atmosphere than food or service. Could be a bit better on taking the beer order on meal orders. We came in for the bbq events by CWB and imperial oil. Showed up at 12:37pm ish. They only had one plate left. They make shifted one to add one wing ... that was out of place. But thank you. Shown in photo. Asparagus sorry i did mention to server over done burnt ends. Oops. But this is just the bbq stuff. So no worries not really on the menu of items. I had a burger off the menu. Coleslaw could use the bigger end pieces from the thick bits taken out. Came to the establishment on a Saturday evening around 7pm with a group for someone's birthday, and we had a whole section to ourselves Staff were friendly, and seated us right away. My partner ordered the tacos, while I ordered the fried chicken with cthip and dip as my side. We also ... got the calamari to share. For my beverage I had the grumpy bear honey wheat ale draft beer. Tacos were pretty good, except the piece of lime provided was absolutely dried up. My burger was delicious, it was tender and juicy, however I wish it was a bit more crispy like a fried chicken and not grilled. Chipa and dip were also really good, the dill dip is phenomenal, only downside is the chips are super thin and turn into crumbs near the end and you can't dip. Calamari was a huge let down. The squid tasted dry and the sauce was pretty light, and had no flavour to it. I preferred dipping it in the dill sauce from my chips and dip. The grumpy bear draft beer was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Aside from the food, service and experience started turning into a huge disappointment. The restaurant was pretty empty, but some people in our group didn't get their food until some people had already finished eating. Lots of wrong drinks coming to our table, and we had someone wait over 40 minutes for their order of beer. They also didn't have the desserts listed on their menu except for the cheesecake which was a huge disappointment. I cannot say enough about the General Manager and the amazing service we received. The only better part was the food which was exceptional. They have a small patio out front which is great. Definitely worth the stop.

Amazing first time at Rocky Mountain Ice house! Originally went to cask & barrel and the waitress recommended to go here for the larger menu. our server was absolutely the best. they have the best crab cakes I've ever had! Not overcooked, not burnt or greasy and perfect portion ... for the price. I also had the pork belly with the smashed potatoes, holy smokes were they delicious! my date had the Southern fried chicken and the mac and cheese. the only thing I recommend is the mac and cheese needs to be cheesier! so nice to have a slice of watermelon on the side. the watermelon Caesar salad is also really really good!!
