The Black Dog FreeHouse - Edmonton, Alberta

Went on a Saturday night and had an amazing time. Has 3 floors, the music on the main floor patio made me feel right at home, and the dancefloor downstairs was a lot of fun. Will definitely be back what a great place!

My first experience at the black dog was awful thanks to the grumpy bartender who had an outburst when we politely asked for limes with our tequila shots, refused to give them to us, and rudely yelled that it was because the tip we gave upon paying previously was not ... big enough! White, had facial hair and was heavier set, working upstairs right side of the bar on Saturday May 25 around midnight. I'm sorry if you were having a bad day man but I truly hope he will not be working there if I go again he really scared us and my whole group left immediately after. Read more

Love the place started comin here since 2016, my partner introduced me to this place. The atmosphere is Great, people friendly! Great Pub! I enjoy the place!!

Very good prices for Happy Hour! Highly recommended for the location and the vibe is more mellow and cozy as it’s dark inside. Would go here in smaller groups

Laid back atmosphere, good selection of beer at a good price, great staff! Bands every Saturday from 4-6. The rooftop patio is a nice place to sit and enjoy your drink. They have events quite often. They're very welcoming to everyone.
