The best Mexican food I've ever had with the nicest family that provide excellent service. I'd give 6 stars if possible.

Every dish there is amazing. I recommend any 2 item dish with the rice and tortillas. The people running it are also super nice and friendly. It's authentic and I think better than tres carnales.

This family run joint in the Commerce Place food court off Jasper is a somewhat hidden Edmonton gem. I don't think it will be that way for long. This was my first time at the El Mexican Express today. The family that runs it are extremely helpful and very respectful when you're trying to decide what to get. The helpful gentlemen went through all of their meals, combos, and specials of the day with me. I ended up ... getting the lunch combo with rice, beans, chicken tinga, and tortillas. This place has the most delicious authentic and healthy Mexican food in Edmonton, owners are from Puerto Vallarta. Everything is fresh. It is 10/10, especially for the price. I eat here at least 3 times a week.
