Shrinkflation in full effect. The portions are not like they used to be. Still good quality and flavour, but we were so underwhelmed with the amount of food on the plates that multiple ppl in our party commented. Personally, I'd rather pay more and have a generous experience. I understand it ... is so tough now for business owners so this is not intended as a bad review. I hope this is taken as positive feedback. We want to come and have a wonderful experience like all the previous times we've visited. As we adjust to the new reality we live in... Maybe it might help to manage customer expectations... Perhaps offer an option for larger portion sizes for a premium; I'm ok paying extra and have an impressive plate of food come to the table. The servers might note that the order sizes are smaller and to order 2 of the same dishes, etc. We want Hanjan to do well. We remember when you first opened next door to Izakaya Tomo. Great place for Korean food. My favs here are the Cheese Buldak, Odeng Tang(fish cake skewer soy broth), honey butter bread (tastes like cinnamon toast crunch), mango bingsu. Jeremiah is an amazing server too!

Some food were hit and miss, i like the grilled pork and the chicken. portions were not great n not worth the price at all, the kimchi rice was $15, it looks like it was a lot in the picture but it was all spread out and when u combine ... it together it is not worth $15 what a rip off. when we were seated, waited 10mins for the menu. loved the bulgogi fries as well. Went for lunch to celebrate my son's birthday. I don't eat out often and wanted to try Korean cuisine so decided to try out Hanjan. Ordered the Bimbimbap and Bulgogi Fries and a latte. Although visually appealing, I found the food to be nothing special. I was excited to try Korean ... food and was disappointed. It wasn't bad - it was just nothing special. I didn't take a pic of the latte, but also nothing special. I found the service to be pretty good though. There were 2 young men taking orders/running orders and they were very polite. I like the call button on the table to summon the servers - I think it's genius and more restaurants should do that. I liked the decor and atmosphere as well; I felt that our table was quite private which I like when I'm eating at a restaurant. Stumbled upon this place on Google and saw a photo of honey butter bread which sold me on dessert. It's a really nice place and it was quite busy when we came on a Thursday night at 8PM. Their food looked really good, but we only wanted to stop by for dessert. ... We ordered the honey butter bread which was really good. Only thing was that I felt that service was really slow. Would recommend for the honey butter toast and would come back to try other items. Read more
