Really delicious matcha brownie. Highly recommend the matcha brownie, comes with vanilla ice cream and strawberry. We tried to substitute the vanilla ice cream for the matcha ice cream even willing to pay extra but they said they don’t do that. Glad we got the vanilla ice cream with it ... as the vanilla really contributes to the white chocolate taste in the matcha brownie. You can really smell the matcha in each bite. Awesome food, awesome atmosphere, wonderful customer service that kept in touch with us throughout the course of the meal. I came to celebrate with my girlfriend and we sat by the bar. The taste is extremely mediocre, and the prices are unreasonably high. I could buy honey garlic fried chicken at 7-Eleven with the same taste as this restaurant, and it would be cheaper. All the food is dry and overly salty, especially the three shrimp in the bento box. The best ... things are the miso soup and the candies after the meal. I think the only reason why it receives so many good reviews is that reviewers here have their taste as bad as their traffic. Read more

My grandson and I had the most amazing meal this evening. We tried many dishes as you will see from the picture and every dish was great. If you want Japanese cuisine at it's best please visit this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Yokozuna is a long standing Japanese restaurant in the south side of Edmonton. Their reputation is one of fresh food and generous portions. It was great that they were open again after being closed for renovations. The space inside is beautiful. Very lovely wood and light fixtures. The service was very friendly ... and helpful but extremely slow. It was a long time between dishes and they once even brought us a dish we hadn't ordered.
