Updated 28Mar: Went there tonight for my husband's birthday. I've made a special request in advance if they could make a "sushi cake", and they did it. It was amazing, beautiful and of course taste great. Thank you so much for your help tonight. Updated: We went there again tonight ... and all the food still tastes amazing. Apologies, I am half a decade overdue leaving a glowing review for this place. I went here back on August 2018 with my children and my then boyfriend (now sordid ex who I no longer associate with) and his friends. The food is out of this world 🌎 and really enjoyed ... chilling to some authentic J-rock. If I had it my way, I'd eat here daily during my stay in the city. Unfortunately, I live in Vancouver Island and the pandemic rolled along, then gave the loser the boot while both my girls are now teenagers busy with summer jobs and no longer interested in roadtrip back to the area. As a Japanese woman who lives in Edmonton, I highly recommend this place. Hachigatsu maki (bluefin tuna roll) is so fresh, simple and delicious! I would say this is the best sushi in Edmonton, even comparable to the ones in Japan. Mentaiko udon was also amazing! It was so creamy and flavourful. I ... ordered some other dishes, all of them were so good, never disappoints me. Especially for the fresh seafood, each piece was fresh and a decent size. I just randomly walked in and I was greeted by the most welcoming staff. Very tasty sushi and fantastic service.
