This restaurant deserves -5 (minus 5) stars. The most pathetic restaurant i have ever been to.The new management has no intention of running it long term i believe.I would prefer donating $22 to a person in need rather than paying for their buffet. There is no ambiance, cold food, no ... food for buffet, server is trying but he can only do so much. I have never eaten this bad Indian food ever.They have such a good location but they have no idea how to capitalize on it. Awesome food, fantastic service. It was just one gentleman handling the service and we were still treated with great hospitality. It used to be New Asian Village I believe, however I think this lives up to the expectations you may have going to this new restaurant. A sign on the exit asked for a google review, so here it is. This was our go to place in Edmonton for Indian. Loved it for 10 years since it was New Asian Village but we've been 3 times since the new owner and name came in ... and it's been a steady downward spiral. The customer service is awful, we weren't even asked if we wanted to order drinks (which 3 of us did), we were never checked on. Had to request naan bread 3 times (it came out cold and doughy). The buffet selection isn't as good as it used to be, the chicken in dried out and tasteless. The butter chicken left water pool on the plates, not sure how that happens. Dishes that typically have moist white meat in them were full of dark meat, bones segments and skin. Very unimpressed and we will not be returning. All of this happened on Monday night while there were 2 other tables in the place. It wasn't slammed busy at all and the owner sat on a bar stool on his phone the entire time. very disappointing and after 3 tries I highly recommend you go elsewhere. Read more

The food was awesome, but the experience was strange. I tried checking online for their buffet hours (we were hoping for an early and quick meal on our way out of Edmonton), but there was almost no mention on their website that they had a buffet, let alone any ... information about the time for it. We showed up at 4:30, waited for 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us (the restaurant seemed deserted, even though a doorbell rang when we walked in), and, when we were acknowledged, were told the buffet started at 5. That was fine; we waited. We were seated by one of the many windows and froze. People who came in after us either wore their coats throughout supper or asked to be seated elsewhere. We should have. I would have loved to try the house beer or a lassi, but I couldn't imagine having a cold drink. When we did get to eat, our food chilled very quickly. There seemed to be only one wait staff member that evening, so waiting for our bill took longer than I was hoping also. I'd consider going again, but I'd try to time my visit differently. Read more

This the first time I have been back since the management changed hands. The buffet's selection is not that great. The chicken they had (tandoori and butter chicken) were very dry, definitely did not seem fresh. The deserts were not that great. The Gulab Jaman was cold and tasted terrible. ... The yellow custard was not that great either and we could not finish it. Also, the prices are high here and service was ok, nothing great. I likely will not be coming back unfortunately. Ambiance and view of the place was nice. I have to say the New Asian Village and Little India on 34ave have similar food but much better quality, taste, price and their food is definitely much more fresh. Read more
