Went to this place on Valentine’s Day. They were really busy. Service was ok. Chicken not cooked. Cheesecake sauce tasted a little weird. Only highlight was the French beer. It's is a very quaint old building, rooms are spacious (think small apartments) and filled with antique furniture. Very Charming place and very welcoming. The breakfast was tasty and homemade, the best Continental breakfast I had anyways. The restaurant was romantic and had a very exquisite menu and wine list.

We go for Sunday brunch occasionally which includes a buffet style assortment of fruit and pastries to go along with your order. Went here for Sunday brunch. The service was great, very friendly! I thought the portion sizes on the main dish were pretty small, given the price. The plate was huge but it was mostly chips and salad and very little of the actual entree. I had the salmon vol au ... vent which was pretty tasty but not amazing. You do get a pass through the fruit and pastry buffet which I thought was all right. Just seemed like store bought pastries and fruit to me. I was really surprised that the almost $30 set price didn't include any drinks, even coffee was extra. Overall, it's a nice quiet place for a Sunday brunch with friends but for the price I think Edmonton has better brunch to offer. Read more

I had a nice stay. The room was beautiful and clean. Had a tiny kitchen area and a reasonably sized bathroom. Very old looking, but pretty well maintained. The staff was quite friendly and the food at the restaurant was very good. I even had a strange experience while I ... was there with my cabinet doors opening on their own. I didn't realize until after I left that this place had a reputation for strange occurrences. Read more
