Worth the drive! We drove out from Fort Saskatchewan and decided to have lunch here. It was absolutely the BEST food I’ve had from a restaurant in a long time. I rarely eat out due to over processed food that tastes awful. Everything we had was fresh. I ordered the ... the tomato basil soup and omg! I had to take one home with me. The pissaladiere was the other item I ordered and it was so amazingly good! The staff is friendly. The chef came to collect our plates and he was amazingly nice. I highly recommend eating here. I really like the concept of the restaurant; staff was friendly; bar and bathrooms were clean; food's presentation was impeccable. Not sure about the poutine (the fries weren't crispy and tasted burnt), but literally everything else we ordered was delicious. I think it's really cool that the specials are inspired ... by the preferences of staff members and different flavour combinations are added to the menu regularly. It's been years since I last visited Chartier. I was in the area so decided to stop in for lunch. The staff was very welcoming upon entering. I was brought to a cozy booth. Recently visited this place with my daughter using the Coffee Pass, and we decided to trust the staff's recommendation for our first visit. The coffee they suggested was absolutely delightful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the onion soup, which left us quite satisfied. Oh, and the croissant? Heavenly. Perfect. Just perfect. This restaurant has been on my bucket list for a while and I was not disappointed. We live about 40 minutes away, but will definitely be back. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was absolutely wonderful. She suggested her favourites to us and ... we tried and enjoyed them all.
