This Donair is unbelievable... The best I've ever had! The Donair sauce is to die for. Might not want to take a "first date" here as you will have sauce from ear to ear. Staff makes you feel like family. Great fries too!
Famous has been on my donair bucket list for a while now, and I finally pulled the trigger and stopped in for lunch. Boy was I not disappointed. I ordered a super donair with cheese. When my order was dropped off at my table, I was astounded at the sheer ... size of the donair. I typically have no issues with enjoying a super donair at other establishments, but I had serious thoughts about tapping out with this one. Aside from the enormous portion, the donair was absolutely delicious. The meat was very flavourful, and the sweet sauce was very tasty. I asked if that was the typical size for the super donairs, and they said yes. I went on to ask how big was a jumbo donair and was informed that it has nearly 2.5lbs of meat! There are 2 excellent Donair shops in Sherwood Park and this is one of them. I eat here every month or so and have a basic Donair with Taziki sauce. The sweet sauce goes well too. Depends on your preference. The portion is massive and messy for $10.80. Could feed two ... people, but difficult to share a Donaire. Obviously fresh because they shave it off right in front of you, and you can eat in at basic cafe style tables. I’d never had a Donair till I moved out west a few years ago. Since then I’ve tried A LOT of places. None compare, quality, QUANTITY and consistency. Without question the most bang for your buck. Owner is almost always there and extremely personable. Staff is great too. Wife ... love the chicken Donair. Daughter loves the burger with deep fried cheese and says they have best fries EVER.
