Snowy Dessert - Edmonton, Alberta

We were visiting Edmonton & just finished supper when we wandered into Snowy Dessert for a treat. We weren’t sure what to expect taste-wise when we ordered the Watermelon Bingsu to share, but we certainly weren’t disappointed. The top had watermelon balls drizzled in syrup, followed by a sweet shaved iced & ... then those two layers repeated throughout the watermelon. Both of us remarked how perfect this treat would be on a hot summer day! Shaved ice AND watermelon? A refreshing combo. It was quite pricey for a dessert (about $19 for the watermelon binsu in the size we ordered) but considering the size (it’s in a hallowed out watermelon!!!), it being a shareable treat & the fun experience I would say it was completely worth it! Just Ok for Korean shaved ice or bingsu. The milk flavour is not quite there but fruit toppings are fresh and decent amount.

This place is so neat inside. Love the ice cream snow machine...very cool. Ordered the mango cheese and the strawberry cheese. They were very large, although there were very light ice cream desserts while you were eating them. Will definitely go here again. Great place.

I've been to this place and its similarly named "rival" and I must say their snowy dessert towers are much better here than the other place. Though the other place had more topping, it was mostly just ice on the inside, whereas this place had less topping but more milk ... and cream in the inside. The filled pancakes were alright. Red bean, cheese cake and chocolate were the choice for the evening and they are comparable. Plenty of filling and big enough to share. If I had to pick one place over the other, I'd probably come back here. Read more

Bring a friend because the portions are quite large. Friendly staff with quick service (quick considering that it's all made to order, and the time they put in for presentation). Ordered the regular sized Mango Bingsu and it had a lot of fruit. Unfortunately I was by myself so it ... was a bit too large for me but there's nothing wrong with that! Would definitely return and I definitely recommend Snowy Dessert! Read more
