Finally made it here! Excellent pub setting with British terminology like halves instead of sleeves, butty's instead of sandwiches, and rashers instead of potatoes. Bathrooms are clean and open, staff is great, and food is fantastic. It's a shame they don't allow substitutions, but I nicked food off the plates I was with. ... 😉 Great place to watch a game, traditional one tv to accomodate an entire room is a community builder for sure. We had a great night at London Local this past Saturday. The gin alone was worth returning for. I looked at a dozen restaurants before deciding on London Local and the menu was what drew me in. The Brussels sprout appetizer might be the most delicious dishes I’ve ever had. ... We ordered the “premium” dishes, the leg of lamb and the Wellington. Both dishes were great! If I had to provide feedback, the cold tomatoes on the lamb seemed out of place and the vegetable mix on the Wellington were a bit saucy for my preference but both of those issues were easy to overlook. I also felt the Wellington was more cooked than I would prefer but my husband didn’t mind. Also both meals were incredibly filling as neither of us could finish our meals. The place has decent albeit functional atmosphere. Service was ok, she wasn't enthusiastic at all and quite stoic. Not much for scenery. Very pricey beverages with an average price of $8+ per bottle and $11+ for a pint. I had their delicious homemade $20 burger for lunch and it was ... cooked the way I like it. The burger was so good it doesn't need sauce and adding anything to it would take away from the flavor. The fries were nice and large but too soft for my liking. Overall I gave it 4 stars because of the food, which is usually important for restaurants. Read more

The food is good. Though I am not sure if I saw any steak in my pie as all I see was potatoes and dough. It's not bad but I was hoping it to be an actual pie instead of a dough (which looks like Yorkshire pudding) filled with mash ... potatoes. I liked the beef wellington as I tried some from my Dad's plate but I wish there was a bit more for the price. My Mom's fish dish is not bad but the cooks might have went a bit crazy with one of the spices used for the rice in the dish. Another thing that it might be us as we thought the rice was a bit salty. I like the tea cup used for tea but was hoping a traditional cups and tea pot. The staff is nice though there are times our waitress disappear or do not see for a long time. I hope you will serve Frontier beer someday as it is made by Fuller's. As a British restaurant, I thought you would serve tikka masala as it is a British food especially it is served in British pubs. I miss British pubs. I have a question. Does your washroom/toilets have baby changing station? I am asking this because I saw one of your customers' sitting in the corner of the restaurant changing their baby's diaper on the booth while another party who is sitting beside them saw them doing it. Decent place, has replaced Cured which used to be in the spot. Food is quite nice and atmosphere is good. Took awhile to get out food so not sure if worth the wait. Lower star as this is a "British" style pub that serves 16 ounce pints instead of 20. ... But of a rip off that way and not authentic. Sticky toffee pudding and scotch egg were quite good though. Maybe go again if in the area but would not make a special trip out there for it. Read more
