Ok, I am a vegetarian and so ordering for me has always been a problem but I told our server my preferences and he said he would pull up a dish for me. The dish that came was not up to my taste or anyone's taste on the table and ... thus we had to send it back, I didn't order anything in its place as my mum had ordered a really heavy dish and I was more than happy to finish it for her but the server took it on himself to get me an exclusive dish and man, what a dish it was... the whole table wanted to experience my dish and enjoy it's creamy taste... loved their passion for not just their food but to feed their customers well!! This restaurant felt like I was on one of "Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare". Was not able to make it through the first stage of dining, which is getting water. Who knows what the food tasted like, because my family and I sure did not want to wait an whole ... hour for our waitress to come and ask for our meals. When you first enter, it seems like a friendly family and happy business. However do not be fooled by the writings on the walls. They are for sure way too kind of words to describe this restaurant. After waiting and waiting for what felt like decades, my family and I decided to leave and probably will never come back. I did do my research about this restaurant. As you probably read, everyone says it's "amazing". However my experience wasn't. The owner was continuously yelling at the bus boys and waitresses. People behind the bar and in the kitchen were swearing and yelling at other workers to actually work, but I believe these young workers where doing more than the experienced workers have ever done in their life span. I am truly sorry and I do pity the restaurant and it's workers. However it was the last straw when my family and I left the building and the boss decided to chase us down and yell from across the street to come back. 10 out of 10 I truly would not recommend, good luck if you are going there though, because it was quite an experience! First time trying here and what can I say. Very very good food. A little Pricier than other places but we'll worth it. The waiter was good and helpful and the food Didn't take Long. Food is INCREDIBLE, service is excellent. Just a shame that the owner cranked the music so loud towards the end of our meal that we couldn't even talk to each other. On our exit, we saw that he was clearly intoxicated. He made a number of inappropriate comments about other ... customers to us and rude gestures to his staff. I've only been there once, so my review shouldn't carry as much weight as people who eat there frequently... or should it? My main problem was... everything about the place. The food, the staff, the cleanliness. The chef must be a heavy smoker or his taste-buds are going or he just messed ... up that particular day, but our food was quite heavy on the salt. QUITE! My blood pressure shot up after eating half of my meal, then again when I saw what I would be paying for such mediocre food. The bathrooms were grungy-looking that day. I don't mind if they are old and worn, but they should at least be clean. Our server was... well better suited to a roadside diner. I know, finding good staff in Edmonton can be tough, but good management knows how to hang on to them. I'll not go back, but by all means, you should give it a try!
