My husband and I came in for dinner on Mothers’ Day without a reservation. It was packed but the head waiter found us a spot. We were so grateful as always as we were anticipating our delicious dinner of deep fried calamari, Peaches and Cream Shrimp, Szechuan Beef ... and white rice. I have been coming here for decades and always feel highly valued by the staff. Prices are reasonable and quality of the food never disappoints. It was our first time trying some Cantonese dishes at this Sai Woo Garden Restaurant. We were about to leave Edmonton but decided to grab some dinner here as we drove past Chinatown. We ordered Steamed Fish in Soy Sauce, Chow Mien with Mixed Vegetables & Bbq Pork Slices, Beef ... with Ginger & Onions and also Stir Fry Gailan with Minced Garlic. Food was steaming hot when served and tasted delicious... not too oily and the fish was not overcooked and we are happy with that. We also got our fortune cookies at the end of the meal! Read more
My family’s FAVOURITE Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. We are from Calgary and often visit our family up here. Every time we come, we always come to Sai Woo for delicious Chinese food. Their calamari, fried fish, and garlic shrimp are unmatched. Never overcooked and perfectly crispy on the outside. The ... batter is nice and light and every bite is always delightful.
