Mandarin Restaurant - Edmonton, Alberta

The mandarin is a really good restaurant and my favourite ever food is their dish “peaches and shrimp”. My issue is the last time I ordered from there the food was burnt a bit and the recipe seemed to have changed. I really would love to have that first experience ... again at the mandarin with that dish.. it was absolutely amazing. Found a very long hair in the dish, the owner literally took the dish into the kitchen, put it in a smaller plate and brought back to the table. And only gave a 20% discount to the dish, which was a $4 discount to a 12 people bill. Never coming ... back Read more

We have been coming here for more than 30 years. The food has always been good, but last Sunday it was superb! The presentation with new dish wear, and the portion size was also excellent. Food was okay. However, when I phoned ahead to pre-order lunch meals for each person, they didn’t tell me that they no longer offer a lunch special. I even confirmed if they came with rice and vegetables. So we had to order rice and fried rice, on top of each ... person getting a whole plate of the type of meat they ordered.
