Golden Dumpling Restaurant - Edmonton, Alberta

Never had "northern Chinese food" before before coming here. It was a very satisfying experience and this became a frequently visited restaurant. The dumplings here are probably the best in Edmonton. Their fried dough was also quite good and the salty tofu was an interesting experience.

Food was 100% northern Chinese food. They offer breakfast food including Chinese donuts, sweet soy milk and Tofu jelly. They also have fresh made dumplings and Baozi! I would definitely go back.

This place has the best Chinese long donuts in the city. They are freshly made and when it comes out they are so fluffy without any trace of baking soda or ammonia bicarbonate taste. I always come here for breakfast. If you wanna try authentic Chinese style breakfast, this is the place to go. The only downside is their waitresses are so unprofessional. They always make mistakes taking our orders. One time they spilled half of the soup out when they were packing up noodles. ... Another time they mixed up our pack-to-go with someone else's. We didn't check until we got home so of course we ended up throwing everything away. It is really frustrating after a couple times. Hopefully they can hire someone more reliable. Read more
