Cha For Tea Palace - Edmonton, Alberta

This was my first time at Cha for Tea Palace but I went with my son and daughter-in-law who had been there once before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Because they were there before I allowed them to choose the food. We arrived early at 10:45 because the last time they were ... there it was very packed. We were the only people in the restaurant. Let’s start with some of the dishes that we had. We had the Scallops and Shrimp bums, Coconut bum, Green onion cake, Sticky rice, Lemon chicken, Peaches and shrimp, Curry Squid and a whole bunch more! It was nice of a hostess to indicate while we were ordering that we had more than enough food for the three people at the table. And she was correct. We could have fed at least another one or two people with what we ordered and took home. Service was prompt and the food came hot and delicious. Great dim sum over the weekend at this place. We usually order online, but dine-in is just as great. It never ceases to disappoint. The fish hot pot is absolutely delicious - one of the best I’ve had. Definitely a return customer. Staff is very nice and the prices are very reasonable ... for the amount of food you get. Read more

Tried it for a quick late meal as it was still open. The food was quite good, but surprisingly charged $13 for an average size bucket of steamed rice. Don't remember if that price was listed on the menu.

Honestly the only comparable dim sum that you can find against Cha For Tea is Tasty Noodle on the south. But Cha is definitely the larger and more elegant venue. Cha offers a dim sum menu you can order direct to your table, along with traditional carts.

One of my favourite places to eat. It's usually quieter which is really nice for friends gathering. All day dimsum is amazing. Staff is very friendly. They also good for English speakers as well. Food is presented gorgeously and cooked well.
