We ordered callaloo with rice (hubby dug in before I could take a picture lol) and chickpeas with roti. We were a bit disappointed that the callaloo was from the tin, but it still tasted yummy. It is an amazing place! It was my first time trying Jamaican cuisine and it was incredible! The food is so tasty and flavourful. We ordered goat head and red peas soups, escovitch red snapper fish, oxtail + jerk chicken combo, festivals, and peanut punch. Festivals are delicious! Oxtail stew ... is really tender and resembles me Hungarian goulash. Jerk chicken soaked with the wood aroma is so unusual! Everything was accompanied with rice and sweet coleslaw. All the personnel was so positive, kind and helpful! Especially when my gf tried a too spicy pepper! And I was even given a free dumpling to try! The reggae music is cool and really atmospheric! I honestly come to this place when I need to get my Hot Beef Jamaican Patty fix. I honestly can't get enough of them. The pastry is so tender and flaky, and the beef filling is just so perfectly spicy and flavourful. Not to mention all their foods are amazing ... too. I really like Jamaican hot patties, so I decided to stop into here and grab some. I've never been here before and it looks like a pretty nice place outside, however its pretty dingy on the inside. The seating area was all dark and no one was in there but ... the two ladies working. They didn't have much selection of items either. I don't know, it was weird. That being said I got two patties and they were delicious. Though one had much less filling than the other and that sucked. Still very tasty, I will definitely go there again and grab me some more patties. Read more
