Moxie’s Grill & Bar - Edmonton, Alberta

We hadn't been to Moxies at Kingsway for probably over a year. Over that time, it felt like Moxies was no longer a relevant chain. With the closing of South Common, it was seemingly apparent that the chain wouldn't be relevant for much longer. But we thought we ... would give this restaurant another try. We had also been to the Northwest location within the year and we all had a less than ideal experience. Alas, we were extremely surprised by the evening. First off, the interior space is stunning. The lighting, fixtures and ambiance is gorgeous. Our server was extremely attentive and so positive/helpful. It feels like Moxies at this space has really put the time in to make the service a priority. The food was great for the most part. There are sometimes dishes that are hit or miss. But the ingredients and preparation seems to be fresh and with great presentation. Overall, I'm surprised that even I am giving a chain restaurant 5 stars but overall this experience was really great. Read more

Wonderful food and restaurant. Was not very busy. Arsh our server was fantastic. She recommended chicken rigatoni delicious and it was probably the best pasta I have ever eaten. The salad was to die for. Absolutely wonderful. The dessert was scrumptious, we shared a key lime pie.

It wasn't too busy and the food was to DIE FOR. Sophie was a wonderful waiter, she was so helpful whenever we had questions. I ordered the Lemon Basil Salmon. It came with ancient grains and seasonal veggies, and let me tell you, each part of the dish blew me out ... of the seat and into the next table. The sauce somehow complimented every part of the dish. I had my leftovers the next day, so I know it's delicious both hot and cold. The salmon was so perfectly tender, I have no comparisons. Took 10min to get water, another 10min to get the drinks we ordered. 45min from when we sat down to get food. No S&P on our table we had to borrow from another table. We were the last 2 to arrive from a large reservation. The rest of the ppl in our ... group were already having desert by the time we got our dinner. Was unaware The cashew tofu lettuce wraps were "do it yourself " and was served with a 1/4 head of iceberg lettuce. It should have been romaine for easy wrapping/holding. I ended up just ripping it up, dumping everything on top and making a salad on the plate. My friend was disappointed in the steak. 40$ and it was smaller then her palm. We had a quality time with my friend at this place. We enjoyed our food and drinks. The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent.
