Cafe Lavi - Edmonton, Alberta

I have walked by this cafe multiple times and always thought it was just small coffee shop serving only drip coffee. To my surprise it was a spacious area with lots of seating. Superb coffee in a gorgeous, cozy little setting. It’s quiet and they know their coffee. The pastries are also also good and worth a taste if you need a snack. Make a detour, walk an extra couple blocks this place is worth it.

This cute little cafe has a welcoming set up and pleasant atmosphere, really great for a quiet date night or work space, as seen in the photos. However, I wasn’t impressed with the chai latte I ordered; it was bland and not very hot. Also, when I went there was ... no pastries available (I was told the baker was “out of commission”). In my opinion, there’s a handful of other cafes within walking distance of this one that I would rather visit because this one is not really that remarkable. Read more

I tried an almond milk latte and it was good. Right amount of espresso and milk. Nice atmosphere. Hidden location in downtown. Plus for their late closing hours. My almond milk was quite expensive for a place that is just opening and is competing with other established coffee shops downtown.
