The food wasn't that great. Ordered deep fried pickles, spicy calamari and buffalo garlic parmesan wings. The wings had a subtle flavor but were the best part, they were pretty good I'd probably come back to try more flavors of wings. The pickles were deep fried pickles slices, not the ... spears that you usually get from other places, still tasted good but for the price I felt like I got ripped off. Same with the calamari, it tasted good and the dip was good but you barely get any calamari on the dish. Super disappointing. The mocktails also sucked, for the price it's not terrible but it's basically just fruit punch, it's nothing special. The waitress was very friendly though. Read more

Game 7, packed house. You’d think they would have their best of the best on staff, ready to appease the masses. I’m a patient guy, being a server and bartender myself in the past, but that was THE WORST service I have had. Our server made no effort to say “hi”, ... make small talk, or even attempt to show she was remotely interested in being there. We saw her maybe once to twice a period. We were constantly wanted either drinks or food but both came late. We asked for water for our table throughout the night (table of 10). We were given one jug and 6 glasses and didn’t see water again for the rest of the night (I did not get one sip of water even after my friends and I asking multiple times). I can understand and sympathize with the business servers endure, but I’ve never experienced the level of incompetence that this particular server showed. It’s unfortunate that on such an important night for the city of Edmonton that we did not get even close to the level of service we expected. Never seen it like this in my life. Last night was my first time visiting the Oliver location. I have been to the WEM location a few times now. I had Coca-Cola Wings and The Smokehouse BBQ Burger for the first time. One of the better places to go for wings as they have a large variety of flavours and their wings are always meaty. Great ambience and a nice place to sit to watch the game, though it does get quite busy on game nights. The cocktails were well made and ... the servers are always super nice. I find myself coming back here quite often as it’s central and easy to get to with lots of parking. Read more
