Nice decor. Tv didn't work in either of our 2 rooms and although that's not was huge deal I would've liked to see a bit more deep cleaning done, especially during Covid. Staff was great to deal with. No heat on in the room on arrival, so was only 6c in there. Took almost 6hrs to get the room up to a reasonable temperature. The room was also pretty tired with stained couch and linens, but the bathroom was well done.

I’d give it a 0 star rating if I could.. checked in today and I’m supposed to be here one more night. The room is so dirty, there’s a green type of mold all inside the shower, there are cigarette burns all over the room. One burn on the couch, ... and even on the walls. The phone is extremely dirty and dusty. Just absolutely horrible for the price. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Read more

We were invited to a special evening of entertainment. Both my husband and I enjoyed the live singing of Elvis impersonators. VERY entertaining. We later went over to the lounge area for a bite to eat and was extremely impressed by the updated menu. We completed our evening in a ... updated room and we are now inquiring about the beds as we have never been so comfortable in a Hotel before. Amazing service and hospitality. A group of us pulled in for a late breakfast because The Sands was convenient for us. The breakfast buffet was better than I expected for your basic hotel cafe. There seemed to me to be few wait staff on duty, however they were prompt, friendly, and helpful. The food ... was quite good, and I especially liked the orange juice that they had on offer. Although the atmosphere was a little bleak, I enjoyed it, and I will go there again. Read more
