Steak supper was nice, but they need to get rid of the cheap little salad bowls that makes it impossible to spread your salad dressing evenly through the salad. Spend the money & get proper salad bowls guys. Nobody wants to dump their salad on a plate & then fight ... with it with a fork & knife to try & get the dressing mixed in throughout. Read more

The service in the restaurant is friendly and they are attentive. They treat us very well and are nice to my disabled son. We eat here often and have not stayed in the hotel.

At first we loved visiting because of the food, still delicious. But the servers are BEYOND RUDE. My daughter and I become regular guests because the food tasted just like my mom or grandma would make. I had hopes that being a good tipper would get us better service but ... since today, I learned there is nothing that can be done to improve the service unless they are new staff or retrained. Today our server was so bad, he made me never want to come back again. Not only did he seriously screw up our order, he was rude about it and then acted entitled to his “tip” when he return my cash on the bill. We had an issue with his rudeness before and, I chose to let that go. But today was the final straw for us as guests. We used to eat there a couple times a week since moving into the neighbourhood. But now, after being treated so poorly I don’t know why anyone would eat there. If it wasn't for the fact the CI had a big Indigenous contract with Jordan’s Principle, their restaurant would not survive because most patrons like to be treated in a courteous manner. Do not stay here. Woman at check in was not very nice. We had 2 rooms which were awful. My deadbolt barely worked, something was stuck up in the shower, gross, and the shower water did not get hot at all. No bedspreads, peeling walllaper, very dirty by heater along ... the wall. Photos on the site are not true! We had to call security/front desk 3 times due to a screaming woman in the hallway and they were not overly concerned at all. Very sketchy area, door into hotel in back was not locked and anyone could come in and go directly up into the hallways. This hotel is NOT safe. The front desk in the morning could have cared less about the screaming woman or any of the concerns we had. I just know there will a standard "sorry you didn't enjoy your stay" response below. Upon arrival there were a few issues with the cleaning and up keep of our room. Immediately went to the front desk and let them know of the issues and they worked very quickly to get us a different room. The front staff were very sorry, polite and very courteous to ... us. The new room was adequate for what we needed for one night in the city. We did have issues with the TV and called to the front desk and they were quick again to send someone up to fix the minor issue we had. Thank you to the staff for being attentive to issues and dealing with them. Read more
