Albert’s Family Restaurant - Edmonton, Alberta

First of all we started by waiting 8 minutes for someone to seat us. All the waitresses passed us without even a word. No 'someone will be right with you' or an appology for the wait. We were seated and asked for our drink order. Drinks came quick but we ... were not ready to order. Over ten minutes later the waitress finally came to take our order. We asked for hash browns with our food and got what looked more like large sliced potatoes. The rest of the food was decent. We stayed at this restaurant for over a half hour and not once did someone ask us how our food was. I spent most of the meal trying to get someones attention so my mom could get more coffee. Another waitress holding the coffee pot walked passed us to the table behind us and gave them coffee. When she passed our table my mom put her coffee closer to the edge of the table so she wouldnt have to lean over to get it. The waitress walked right passed us without acknowledging us at all. Didnt evrn look at us. This happened twice. I called her back and asked for more coffee. She said "oh you're empty." Poured it and walked away. We finished our food and after waiting 5 minutes to be addressed we put our plates at the end of the table. The 2nd waitress, not our actual server, came by and cleared the table. Didnt ask us at all how the food was or appologize for any of the delays. After another several minute wait our bill came. A different waitress came with the machine and askes us how everything was. We told her that food was OK but the service sucked. Told her we did not have our waitress come to iur table at all except to tale the order. Service was slow and the 2nd waitress continued to ignore us even though she was serving the table infront and behind us and had to walk past us everytime. All she said was 'sorry'. Got there at 10:22. Seated at 10:30. Order taken at 10:42. Food arrived 10:50. 20 minutes of NO SERVICE. Finally left resturaunt at 11:35. During this hour of poor service we also witnessed several orders coming out wrong; over cooked or under cooked food, wrong sides, even a child being served a topping we was allergic too even agter father stated they waited the food plain. This has been the worst place we have ever had breakfast. The eggs had no flavour the hashbrown tasted rotten and reheated, the pancakes were hard. Really bad experience

Great food and reasonably priced, living in West Edmonton it is nice to have this restaurant in our neighborhood as we visit on a regular basis, you definitely have to try the potato pancakes! My meal and my boyfriend's meal were well undercooked. My boyfriend asked to have his meal reheated and the it still doesn't taste fully cooked. I couldn't even stomach to finish my meal because it tasted raw and bland. My daughter's strawberry waffles were good but that's about it. Waitress ... was okay. Overall won't be returning; breakfast at the Ramada tastes better. Read more

Friendly Atmosphere. The Chicken Sausage was dry and not very tasty. Beef Sausage was not great either. The Pork Sausage is very tasty though.
