The food is great but the cut of the meat is awful. Is not so nice and so thick, is hard to cook and to swallow. I mean you should ask your chief to cut it nice and thin instead. Then the sesame ball/butchi the inside is still kinda raw. ... Maybe improve it a little more. Make some effort to make it more appetizing. Great place I would recommend going here for dinner ordered pretty much most of the sushi they had there most of it tasted great and the items to grill also tasted good only thing is the service was kinda slow (it wasnt really crowded at the time btw) and the ... seating is pretty tightly packed so its best to book a table because it can get very busy quickly. Decent AYCE sushi spot, some of the items lacked flavour (e.g. the salmon tataki wasn't good). The highlight is the unlimited steak bites and it's halal! They also have the deep fried buns soaked in condensed milk for dessert

Visit: November 2023 This is one of the better AYCE sushi places around. They have a little BBQ grill as well for grilled meats and seafood which is nice. The food is well prepared and quite good. The BBQ eel nigiri, for example, was pretty big per piece and was soft. ... The sashimi was on the thinner side, but still very good. All of the food had nice presentation. There's a large variety of different sushi and grilled items you can choose from. I did find the grilled sirloin didn't have much marbling, but it's fine if you cook it medium rare. For years, Lava Rock has been my go-to sushi place with my fiancée, but I’ve never had the chance to leave a review with pictures because I would go straight to eating the food lol. I’m surprised that they don’t have a full house every time we go there. The customer ... service is exceptional. They refill the drinks without being asked. Getting seated in this restaurant is also a breeze, unlike some sushi places where getting a table is difficult and reservation times are not properly followed. Parking is also easy as there are lots of spaces They have definitely upped their game with more options in the menu. The octopus and scallop sashimis are very tasty.
