My friend bought a combo with beef short-ribs, rice, broccoli and beans. They couldn't eat it - so I tried it. The meat smelled and tasted burnt - not the "on the grill too long" burnt, but that tell-tale inadequately cleaned grill or "burnt grease" sort of taste. This smell ... and taste permeated the rice and other ingredients somehow as well. My friend scraped the whole mess into the garbage and said "Well, I won't give this to the dog...". It has been some time since my previous visit to Koryo Korean, and today I stumbled upon this food court spot in West Edmonton Mall after a brief shopping trip. The barbecue with beans and potatoes that I ordered ended up being quite delicious.
The food taste good as I had grilled beef and shrimp with rice and Broccoli. The portion were enough to fill up the stomach. One thing I didn’t like is that the Kimchi, which taste like stale.
The bbq beef and chicken taste so good and it's cheap. I got the jumbo deal and it was filling. The macaroni, fried potatoes and the glass noodles are my top picks for sides.
