Sherlock Holmes - Edmonton, Alberta

I stopped here twice during my recent visit to Edmonton. Sat at the bar both times, the first visit Kristy was tending bar, second visit was David. Kristy was very engaging and made me feel welcome. Ditto for David and he was quite helpful when I wanted to find the ... funicular to get down to the River Valley walking trails. Also got the Thursday special Fish-n-Chips that were delicious and a great deal at $17. The wonderful draft beer selection, good food, and great service made this my favorite bar of the trip. I'm not answering the 'how much spent per person' question. The more savvy among you might realize I had more beer than was necessary. But the prices are very fair. Read more

Stopped in for lunch before seeing a matinee nearby. Had a delicious plate of bangers and mash, which came with buttered peas and yorkshire pudding along with the gravy. In addition I had a fantastic bread pudding with some very creamy ice cream on the top. Loved the pub style decor ... and though I didn't have a drink the pub seemed to have a myriad of local options on tap and on the menu. I'll definitely come back at some point! Read more

Came here for some very late night eats and it did not disappoint. My favorite was the Spring Rolls - large portion of rather big crispy deliciousness. The salt and pepper wings were very flavorful and the nachos were good, but could have used more cheese.

November 2023 5* Firstly the staff here is very nice so you will definitely enjoy the place. I visited twice - first to eat something quickly and found Vegan burger with fries but there are many options with meat. Later in the evening during open house for singing. You need to register ... early to do that and may be need to pay some sum. The bar is full with drink options so great place for people who want to enjoy their drink.
