L1 Lounge - Edmonton, Alberta

The staff has major discrimination issues. Me and 2 of my friends wanted to know if the this was one of the places on the coupon. Before we could ask we were approached by the serving staff and asked for ID. To be fair both all 3 of us don't ... loom our ages which wasn't the insulting part. The insult came after we were seated when boys between 6-10 were allowed to sneak in to watch the hockey game! They were clearly under age didn't get the same speed of clearance. Which leads to the real discrimination being based on disability. 1. A perso. With a wheel chair had to maneuver around their sign because of placement. 2. We were approached because we didn't look like we could afford to be there 3. The service we got was terrible, she may as well work at McDonald's. Did not look after our table at all. We would have had more food and drink if the service was bitter 5. Someone had to approach her to get the kids out when there was a total of 3 tables to serve and 3 or 4 at the bar. Read more

Service was really slow. Secondly, the first old fashion I ordered vs. The second one were two completely different drinks. The first was fancy with smoke and no ice. The second was full of ice for some reason and no smoke. I would've asked for a change but the server was preoccupied ... with idk what, since it was pretty much empty in the lounge. August 10, 2021 We have returned to this great lounge and enjoyed the very good food. Our server was friendly and attentive. We requested the sound to be turned down and some other requests and we were accommodated. Very happy with the whole experience. Nice lounge/bar the ... seating is comfortable and the ambiance and decor is great. Happy hour drinks are reasonable prices. We ordered the L2 burger off the menu and it was tasty and served hot. L1 Lounge isn't super classy but it is reasonably nice. Our steak dinners were 40 bucks each for AAA filet mignon and rib eye. We had a $20 antipasto appetizer that was absolutely delicious. They gave us complimentary warm bread to start and 5 chocolates with the bill. The server ... was very friendly and talkative and extremely attentive. The food arrived quickly and our drinks were regularly topped up. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and delicious. Veggies were perfect amount of crunchiness. The truffle butter was yummy and very creamy. I polished off my entire plate. The antipasto exceeded my expectations. Perfectly grilled veggies and complimentary flavors. Ambiance was nice and quiet with music playing but not too loudly. It wasn't very busy so we could have quiet conversation. Decor was predominantly red, nothing super fancy or high quality though.
