Best bar in town. Great music, staff is welcoming and fun, and drinks are cheap. $4.50 jagerbombs! We've been regulars for a while and we'll always come back. Side-note, you get to draw on the bathroom stalls (at least in the women's).
This bar definitely is a good time. The layout is cool with 2 different levels, and a dance floor/bar on each level. Music is fun and drink prices are reasonable. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because when I went there, the up stairs was at least 40 ... degrees. It was like dancing in a steam room! Other than that everything else was great! Read more
My favorite place to go dancing after a night out drinking with friends! It's not the most inclusive place, however by no means do I feel unwelcome. I wish they would change the songs up a little bit, I love all the songs that they play! A little variety never ... hurt anybody. Would reccomend! Read more
I've been going to Funky Buddha with friends since its opening night. While I'm not Into the nightclub scene, I avoid it because it's packed on the weekends, my friends and I LOVE their karaoke Sunday nights. $4.00 drink specials and Strongbow on tap! Karaoke is hosted by Mr Entertainment. The sound quality ... is closely monitored and the son choice is huge! Some of Edmonton's best karaoke singers make Funky Buddha their regular Sunday event! They also have a music Bingo on a weeknight I found myself at when friends and I were looking for some cheap wings. It was surprisingly a blast! I had my birthday party here on a Sunday a few weeks ago, and the management accommodated me and my friends very well. There were 30+ of us and we were all kept comfortable and welcome and well- served! So if you're not into the crazy nightlife, avoid this place on the weekend, but I'd want a place that won't just have you seated, drinking and staring at the walls, the Buddha offers a variety of fun nights for social gatherings with friends! I had a great time! Celebrated my 19th Birthday there (was my first time at funky buddha) , music was popping, staff were amazingly kind and friendly, fair priced drinks, great service. Overall great environment! Will be back again!
