Fargos - Edmonton, Alberta

Today was my first time ever going here. Went on a recommendation from someone who's daughter once worked here years ago. Anyways while the food wasn't too bad, we both had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, one with fries/gravy (the gravy came at least five minutes after I received my ... food)and one with poutine. The restaurant definitely needs a makeover. Torn bench seats and not the cleanest. The waitress never once came and asked how our meal was, if we wanted anything else or even refilled our "non stop pop". It was a "one stop pop" I guess. I doubt I will ever go back. Read more

Came in Saturday for karaoke. Our waitress was MIA the vast majority of the time, and always missed asking my mother in law what she wanted to drink (3+ times??). She didn't let us know when the kitchen was closing so by the time we wanted something it was too ... late. Another table ended up ordering pizza to the restaurant. It took about 25 minutes for drinks to come. The bar had a decent amount of people but by no means would I say busy or chaotic; lots of people nursing their beers. Kareoke was phenomenal though!! HUUUUUUGE song selection, DJ was a great singer when he filled in, it wasn't painfully loud, and he knew how to read the room. We had an amazing time despite awful service. Blacken chicken salad with spicy but on the menu it only said it had Chipotle sauce. Our friend had a wrap that had the sauce in it and it wasn't spicy at all. Suggested that the menu could state it was spicy.

I've been coming to Fargo's for years - I don't know what's going on recently. We were the only two folks in the lounge side and it took forever to order drinks and then another dose of forever for the server to take our food order. We both had the ... Fargo's burger, and it was good. I ordered sweet potato fries at an upcharge of $3.00 and we counted 14 fries. Not worth it. Not once was a refill of drink offered, and it took 10 minutes for a server to come by so we could settle the bill. I had to wander around and flag someone down. This makes me sad, because Fargo's has just always been a rad place. The last 3 times I've been (this summer) have all been disappointing. Oh! Horrible food! I ordered a quesadilla and it was burnt all over. The wings weren’t cooked properly. Horrible customer service too . Look at the pics . The fries are like fries from a school cafeteria. I didn’t even ask for a refund for the food but will never go ... back there.The place seems rednecky and I’m starting to feel like my boyfriend and I received the worst food and worst customer service because we’re not white. The waiter seemed very uncomfortable to serve us and he just wanted us out of there. So if you’re not white or a red neck don’t go here. Read more
