I ordered a banana spelt muffin and an americano for $9.29. The muffin: if the concept behind this creation was to capture the notion of a muffin but in a deconstructed oil-forward form in which the taste of banana is to be imparted entirely by the customer’s imagination, then they nailed ... it. The americano: embodies coffee-reused. I do fundamentally want this bakery to succeed as it is the type of establishment the neighbourhood needs and I will give them another chance and order something else and post again; but, with what I have had, I am not sure they understand how important their prices must align with quality of their product or they will inevitably fail. Got some delicious pastry at Breadland. The custard danish with fresh raspberries was flaky with a delectable crunch with each bite. Cappuccino was great too. The decor is rather plain but the food more than compensate. One more thing. The danish was BIG.
First time coming, got a drink and snack. It was late afternoon, so I think most of the stuff was already sold out. The croissant was flaky and well balanced. The latte was good. Although I think of you a fan of sweeter latte, you may not like the latte ... here without extra sugar. The coffee flavour was nice however. Just the right amount of bitter for me. This bakery has good croissants. The one I ordered was chocolate filled, and the baker offered to warm it up for me. Although the food is good, the dishes were not very clean as is shown in the image attached to this review. I unfortunately showed up in the afternoon ... after a lot of things were sold out so I haven't had a chance to see what comes fresh in the morning before it all sells out. Read more
