This restaurant is very deserving of 5 stars. The food is absolutely outstanding - we tried the Wagyu beef, pressed salmon sushi, Fuji ribs and scallop roll. Everything was phenomenal. I cannot recommend it enough.

I was in Edmonton so I decided to stop by Japonais Bistro after hearing many good things. The restaurant has nice decor and is clean. The service was satisfactory. I had some goma ae, sashimi, nigiri and rolls. I found the food to be mediocre it wasn’t bad ... by any means. I had higher expectations for this place. Couldn't get a reservation at the Windermere location so we came downtown instead. Food was really good and the service was awesome as well. Super hard to find a parking spot though. The atmosphere isn't amazing but is typical for a Japanese restaurant. The sashimi was very fresh.

Best sushi in Edmonton! We’ve been to quite a few places and the presentation and flavour explosion of the food is REAL!! The ambiance is relaxing and spacious, and there’s a huge menu selection.
