Garden View - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Have been enjoying their food for years. My elderly mother particularly likes her monthly lunch there. What I like is that the servers and the cook will adjust my order to suit my desires and will make an effort to provide me with a dish a bit different ... from the normal - more oriental-like. As usual, the Staff go out of their way to assisit my dietary needs and I greatly appreciate them doing so. They prepare the food to my specifications so when I take it home, I am able to enjoy my meal as if I was in the restaurant. I have ... been a customer for over 30 years and I am grateful for the steps taken by Michelle and the Staff to accommodate my special needs with respect to my order each time I visit the Garden View. Sometimes that level of service means more than how hot the food was or if the food was cooked as ordered as even the best chefs can have an off day. Having Staff willing to go that extra step for a customer means having my loyalty as a repeat customer. This order was cooked precisely how I needed it to be so I could enjoy my meal when I got home. Have no complaints with the Garden View Restaurant. I've only used take out - but you get a lot of food for your money. No other restaurant that I know of gives you nine chicken balls in a combination plate! Great food, great prices, friendly staff.

The Garden View Restaurant has always been a "go-to" for our family. You can always depend on excellent, hot food and the service is always quick and friendly. The location is perfect, close to shopping, home and church!! The expanded menu is great too!

Beware the side dishes! 3.50 for two tablespoons of food? I don't think so. Expensive for the amount of food you get. Cheaper to go to MachuWok. Sauces were watered down, especially the lemon chicken. Yuck. Service was nice and decor was beautiful. Unimpressed by food though.
