Swiss Chalet - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

I am visiting Dartmouth from Scotland.I was at Swiss Chalet with a very special person tonight.A family friend, a scottish lady who has lived in Nova Scotia since 1953 and is now an amazingly sprightly 101. She likes this restaurant and i can see why. Chicken and ribs are the specialities ... in many amazing styles on a big choice menu.Quality is superb and the friendliness and helpfulness of our young lady servers was impressive. My Half rack Ribs with stuffed baked potato was excellent, the others were very happy with their choices. Ordered curbside pickup and was extremely disappointed. App said ready for 7:30 arrived at 7:33 and clicked “I’ve arrived” in the app. Was notified to confirm vehicle details and wait for instructions. I confirmed and waited until 7:50 checked the app again and my order still said “in progress” I ... finally decided to go in and not only was my order ready but the associate said she hadn’t noticed I was there on her screen! So now I have 3 lukewarm meals in soggy containers to take home and microwave for my family. Read more

It was my first time at this location, I was pleasantly surprised with how modern the decor of the restaurant. I had very good service. I was able to get in and out quickly, which was important as I was there for lunch. The food was good, hot and fast.

Grabbed a quick bite to eat. Food was great, service was good. Didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time!

Food was out fast and everything was warm. Very limited choices on the menu. Restaurant was not busy when we arrived and had to wait for staff to seat us. The waiter was not friendly and did not check on us at all. Mysteriously discovered a personality when the ... check came and was over the top.
