Reviews for Hanamori Fusion in Coquitlam, British Columbia
this place is a trash. the lady is so rude. I called to order ahead for dine in, as soon as I got in, I told them I will order some more for dine in. the lady kept telling me to pay first and the food is already in the ... container, which is fine. I sat down, she didn’t helped me with anything, no tea or menu and the place completely empty, she told me to move. I was gonna order chicken udon she yelled that they don’t have chicken. I just got out. The food is mediocre not even good. idk why they have 4 star Read more
Server was great, chef was personable and the food....was amazing , see my photos! We will be back... Almost don't want to tell anyone about this spot 🤫😁
Great and quiet place to eat alone or with 2-4 people if you guys are looking for a really cozy restaurant. Since the place is so small, it is easy for them to watch over you and provide good service but it might not be best if you want to ... eat with a lively large group, as it may feel cramped or awkward. The atmosphere is very peaceful and I like the soft music they play. I recommend their special rolls. There's a great variety that are all very tasty. They do offer some other dishes like ramen and dons but I'd say I'm much more likely to come here again for just the sushi. Overall, hada pleasant experience :D Read more
Went on a weekday evening and the place was empty. We were seated right away and got to pick our table. The space itself is rather small with enough room for about four tables. The place where the sushi is prepared runs adjacent to the tables in a bar format ... with a kitchen for hot food further inside. Staff were patient in waiting for us to peruse the menu and order and took the time to read our order back to us to make sure they got it right. Sushi was prepared upon ordering and you could see some of it being made from the table. Presentation of each dish was clean and simple. All the fish was very fresh and each piece held together when picked up. The rice was also well-made. Price is similar to other independent sushi places in the area. Would recommend for a quiet place to eat with a small group of people or on your own. Read more
We had an amazing meal at this hidden gem of a place. All of the sushi was fresh and very well made. Perfect balance of rice and other fresh ingredients. The fish was probably the freshest we have had at a sushi shop. Service was spot on, attentive. We never had to ... ask for more water, she was there as soon as our water was low. We always have amazing friendly service with each visit. My absolute favorite is the oshi sushi, I go with both salmon and tuna oshi. Beef tataki, dragon roll, classic salmon roll and a few others are always on our table. Give the potato croquettes a try, they are tasty. Small family run place, best sushi experience in years. Yes it's a little pricey and worth every penny, the quality is hands down above all others we have had. Some of their rolls are really big so when the server tells you those are big believe her. We will return again when we are in the city. This is a small restaurant with limited seating, you may have to wait or come back. Family owned and only one chef who is the owner. Read more
