Pizza Town & Indian Grill - Coquitlam, British Columbia

We had our small get together about 20 people last week where both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes were served from this small little gem of a restaurant. The food was so flavourful and authentic Indian that everyone at the gathering liked it and got surprised that it was not ... from Surrey..!! (Hahahaha). We enjoyed a lot and our evening became more delightful and would have been possible with all the efforts from the team out there from the Kitchen and yes, the owners made sure everything is perfectly one to deliver the food hot and fresh..! So if you have ever read my reviews you know I don’t mince words when it comes to bad service and bad food. This place caught my nose on a bike ride today and at first I couldn’t figure it out because I smelled Indian food and saw the words pizza ... town . I made my way to the door and saw a special for curry nann and rice for thirteenish bucks. It’s hard to get McDonald’s for this price so I was all in . I entered to find a few tables and quite a few people chowing down on various things. It was just before three in the afternoon and the place was humming . I ordered up my goat curry and nann and the server was fast and efficient , twenty minutes she said . This too some perhaps would be a let down but for me I knew I’d be getting fresh hot food and it would be probably good . So I waited . The food arrived and it was packed up perfectly to toss in the milk crate on my ebike . I sped home at fast as I could and ten minutes later with my valiant steed at max speed . Plated up the hot food and drooled as I walked to the place to eat. The curried goat was off the charts good , I’d asked for it somewhat medium spiced and it was bang on perfect . The rich taste of goat was accentuated by the amazing curry sauce and it was just the best curried goat ever . The nann bread was excellent and the samosa was delicious as well. A true hidden gem that I am quite sure will become a goto place to eat for me . Wish I’d tried it sooner . Can’t say enough about it. Really is excellent and priced so reasonably. Read more

I'm someone who likes to give all "hole in the wall" restaurants a try and loves Indian food but I would avoid this place at all costs. Tonite I feel "robbed" by my take out order, $20 for the worst lamb korma I've ever had in my life. It tasted ... how it looked, disgusting. Pizza town should be ashamed for giving us such a poor dish and experience. Read more

Affordable all day take out menu at $12.95 with 4 selections of non-vegetarian and vegetarian options to choose from. All of the option come with naan and rice. We ordered the butter chicken and the dal makhani. The butter chicken didn’t come with a lot of chicken, but the sauce ... was creamy with a good amount of butter and tomato paste. The dal makhani was smooth and very flavourful. Only downside was that we ordered the vegetarian samosa and they forgot to pack it in the to-go order and we didn’t find out until we got home. Food was delicious and the price was quite reasonable! We ordered their walk in specials: 1. Butter chicken, Naan and rice 2. Chicken curry, Naan and rice Priced at 12.45 CAD! Good portions and great taste
